Brief History

Established in 1969 by Dr. Teixeira Gois, this was one of the first medical laboratories in Madeira.

Its head office is at Largo do Phelps nº 21-1- Funchal. It has a central laboratory and several sample collection units, some of them belonging to the laboratory and some in partnership with medical, occupational and sports medicine clinics.

Our practice is based on a demanding quality policy, aiming at increasing the patient's and their physician's trust in the laboratory and in the Clinical Pathologist.

Samples are collected using vacuum tubes, which are labelled with bar codes and processed by modern equipment, which ensures quickness and safety in quality of results, avoiding errors in data placement. We use only state-of-the-art reagents.

Reception and Waiting Room

Users are seen on a first-come-first-serve basis. However, people who are desabled, elder, pregnant women or accompanied with little children, and diabetics have priority.

Our staff register your personal data in our database and the patient receives their card to pick up the results. After that, the user waits to be called in the waiting room.

Sample Collection Room

The user is made at ease and the lab technician proceeds to collecting the blood sample using the vacuum system. We receive our patients with amability and safety.

Our technicians confirm if the patient is appropriately prepared to the collection, if a fasting period or special diets are required.
